WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY?
Around 140 years ago, the American physician Dr. Andrew Taylor Still formulated the basic principles of osteopathy. Since then, this form of medicine has continued to develop - in the USA, Europe and worldwide.
Osteopathy is used to recognize and treat functional disorders. Treatment is carried out exclusively with the hands. The person is considered as a whole - both in the connection of body, mind and soul as well as in their physical unity.
THE OSTEOPATHIC APPROACH
Osteopathy views the body as a unit. Mobility at all levels is crucial - from the joints to the organs. Restrictions can cause tension and dysfunctions that lead to complaints. The aim is to recognize and treat these so-called somatic dysfunctions at an early stage before they develop into illnesses. Fasciae, fine connective tissue structures, connect all parts of the body and play a central role.
